Hi peeps, I'm back here with a new post again. This time round I'm gonna blog about a 'restaurant', not sure if I can call it a restaurant but yeah. HAHAHAHA.

It's called The Dim Sum Place which obviously sells Dim Sum. But they sell Peking Duck Wrap!!!! It's very hard to find it in Singapore especially when you're craving for Peking Duck but you don't wanna go to a atas restaurant and spend so much on just 1 duck. Hahahaha.

I got to know this place through my so-called 'ex-boss' or should I say direct supervisor, direct boss? HAHAHA. Whatever it is, she brought me to this place and that's how I know they got sell Peking Duck Wrap which obviously it's nice! The first time I tried it, I fell in love with it! That was like literally last year. It's not cheap but it's definitely cheaper than the Peking Duck set in an atas restaurant. The only time I had Peking Duck was when I was in secondary school and went to China for a school trip, that's how I got to know Peking Duck and taste it. But I couldn't really remember the taste because it was like so long ago. HAHAHAHA. But I know it was because of something that makes me crave for it or maybe out of nowhere, suddenly I thought of it and remember that it has been a long time since I last ate it so I craved for it but after awhile the craving was gone. HAHAHAHA.

But I was really damn happy to know that this place sells Peking Duck Wrap. 6 wraps for $12.90 if I'm not wrong.

This is how it looks like being served. There's an option where you can request for server which I didn't, so I'm not sure what is it about. If you're curious, you can request for the server. HAHAHAH. I vividly remember this one when I first went there was because I really really really google search for restaurants that sells Peking Duck because I really really really wanna eat it. I can't really remember what other things I tried when I went there for the first time. HAHAHAHA.

But recently I went back there because it was my birthday the day before I went there. So yeah. The recent experience wasn't that good neither it was very bad. Overall was kinda okay, the food was acceptable if not it's good. HAHAHA.

So what I tried this time round was the DSP Signature Duck Wrap, actually I didn't wanna order that but my boyfriend wanted to try, so yeah, we went ahead and I tried 1 piece and I don't like it. The difference between DSP Signature Duck Wrap & the Peking Duck Wrap, is the way they wrap it and the amount of DUCK meat inside. For Peking Duck, it's thin slices with a variety of vegetables like onion, cucumber. But for DSP Signature Duck Wrap, the duck meat is big chunk and there's only cucumber in the wrap.

ree

This is how the wrap looks like minus the other vegetables in the wrap because there was only 1 slice of cucumber in each wrap. I was so excited that I didn't take photos so I can't upload it here. All these photos are taken from Google. Sorry about that. But if you follow me on Instagram, you can see it on my Instagram Story. I even put it on my Instagram Stories highlight. It's category is FOOD.

Oh, we also tried Baked Bun with Roasted Duck Filling and it's really good. It's like Tim Ho Wan's Baked BBQ Pork Buns but probably smaller or maybe about the same size. I would recommend you to try this bun other than the Peking Duck Wrap. This is seriously good but there's only 3 pieces.

ree

It looks like this. But ohmygosh, it's so delicious. I only had 1 piece but I really like it. You won't regret it. I didn't regret ordering this so I'm not sure about you but seriously, no harm giving it a try. Who knows you may fall in love with it after trying? HAHA.

We tried their fried wantons as well, nothing special I would say. My boyfriend ordered the Vermicelli Roll with Roasted Duck Cha Shu because he thinks I love duck just because I keep wanting to eat the Peking Duck Wrap. LOL. I had 1 small piece of it and I didn't want anymore because I was full. HAHAHAHA. The taste wasn't that bad but I wouldn't say I like it.

ree

It looks like this so what I did is that I took a piece by the side and some of the filling dropped. HAHAHA. Can't really remember how it taste because I was full. We actually ordered 2 rounds of dim sum because the 1st round wasn't enough for my boyfriend and I felt it was quite little also. So this Vermicelli Roll, DSP Signature Duck Wrap was the order for 2nd round.

The 1st round was the Peking Duck Wrap, Baked Bun with Roasted Duck, Deep Fried Wanton and Congee with Preserved Egg & Choi Sum. The reason why I ordered the congee was because we both didn't had any breakfast and we went there for lunch. So I wanted something a little bit heavy so at least I won't probably get hungry so easily. So yeah. The congee was not bad. Obviously, congee is the thick thick kind, which is my favorite! I don't like porridge because it's too watery and it's plain. So yeah. But I felt like I should've ordered other choices instead of this. My boyfriend don't like preserved egg and neither of us like vegetables. But the way the choi sum was in the porridge was acceptable. It's not those big big chunks of choi sum. They actually sliced it thinly and small. So it's like it will just slide into your throat as you eat the congee. You won't bite into it so you won't taste which I find it acceptable. HAHAHAHAHA. The congee serving was big though. Enough for the 2 of us, initially I just wanted all to myself. But after I saw the serving, I was like 'okay, fine. We will share it.'

ree

This is how it looks like. Sorry for the blurry pictures because I took the photo from their website. HAHAHAHA. They have other choices of congee, they also have noodles/rice. So if you don't want congee, you can try their noodles/rice.

You can take a look at the menu before heading there. https://www.thedimsumplace.sg/pickngo/

Click on the link to view their menu. You can make reservations too if you wanna dine in. Actually looking at their menu, I find the price is a bit pricey but still sort of affordable. They were having an event where by you leave a review on their Facebook page, you can get free drink. Not sure when will this event end. But their 'manager' came to us and told us about this. Obviously, my boyfriend did leave a review in exchange for the drinks. HAHAHA. They are located at 791 North Bridge Road. You can even choose to Pick Up your order if you don't want to dine in.

That's all for today~
