MONEY

It's been quite awhile since my last post. So here I am, posting a new post.

Today's post is about MONEY. I've actually posted about this on my Instagram. Why did I decide on creating a post about money? It is simple. Facebook have this ''On This Day'' thingy where you can revisit the posts you've posted a few years ago including the Instagram post that you decided to share it on Facebook as well. So I saw my Instagram post about money, I also read the caption I wrote down which up til now, I still agree with it.

So my caption below the photo was 'Money shouldn't be the first priority in your life. Money shouldn't be much more important to you when you have a family. Even when you're single, don't freaking look at money so important until you forget to bond with your friends & family. You shouldn't be a slave towards MONEY. Money makes you selfish. Money only gives you the power to spend/spent. Money can't buy true love, true happiness even though it can buy you material stuffs which will make you happy for a short period of time. Money will ruin you and your thinking. Money ruins relationship including family relationships. Money shouldn't be something you worship for.''

You can say that I hate money but I also understand the importance of MONEY. The reason why I hate it was because my mom keeps working and she didn't take a break. Even when she's sick, she still went to work like normal. She hardly spend time with us, she didn't even get the chance to travel all because she keep working. I know she wanted to save money for my brother and I but I feel like there are times where she can just spent on herself and take a break, go overseas with my aunt. Go and take a look at the outside world instead of just work, work and work. I hate money because she prioritize money before any of us. To her, the value of money is very big even though it's just like $20, which I really don't like it. I told her to just spend her money because when she die, she cannot bring the money with her.

So this is the reason why I don't like it when people prioritize money before friendships, before families. I also know that we cannot don't have money. But if you have to ability to spend, just spent it. Save a part of your salary. If you can travel, you might as well take the chance to spend on a vacation, where you can look at the different culture of other country, at the same time, relax and enjoy. Instead of being a slave to money.

You will never earn enough money, you can never ever have a wallet full of cash. You will spend it every single day. You need to pay bills, buy food, buy groceries and of course you will wanna do shopping as well. So tell me how can you have a wallet full of cash? Stop wishing for a wallet full of cash. Just hope that you are not out of job and that is good enough. When you have a job, at least you are still earning a stable income. So you can still spend money and at the same time, earn money as well. Don't because of money, you neglect your health. It's really not worth it. Don't speak to people in a tone whereby the value of money is very big, it's actually not.

Don't ruin your friendship over money, it's really not worth it. Don't quarrel with your family members over money matters, don't ruin the family relationship. If money can solve the problem, it's really just a small matter. But not every matters can be solved by money. Don't just because you're rich then you try to solve the matter using money.

Disclaimer: I hate money but I still got save a part of my salary. I can hate money but that doesn't mean I will spend every cent I earn. I'm not that kind of person. The reason why I save money was because my aunt, my mom started asking me to save money in case of any emergencies, at least I have some money on hand that I can use. So I started the habit of saving.

If you have not started on saving money, it's better to start now then never. You will never know you will need the money. Don't have to save all your salary, just save some of it. Once you started, you will never stop saving. By the time of emergency, you will probably have more than enough. So you don't have to worry where to get the money from, don't have to worry about bank loan and stuffs like that. You can choose to save up for vacation as well, not necessary for just emergency use. The more you save, the better it is.

Plan your budget. It's okay to splurge on yourself once in awhile but not every time.
