Hi peeps, I’m finally back with another post after a while. Yes, it’s gonna be about another show that I’ve watched on Netflix. The show it’s called The Social Dilemma. It’s out on Netflix, you can catch it. It’s a documentary-drama. But I feel like it’s more of a documentary rather than a drama. The drama is here and there but not so much of it.
I feel like after watching this show, it really makes you think of the apps that you’re using. It really makes you think twice of social media. It will makes you feel like internet is really not safe at all, it wasn’t safe in the first place. But after watching this, it will scare you more if you’re not the kind to believe in things easily or more of like you feel like internet/technologies is not that trustworthy in the first place to you.
But I feel like social media apps is more dangerous towards kids in the current generation. If you look at the videos on Facebook, Instagram, don’t you think it’s dangerous? Just look at the content. Especially Tik Tok, I think that the app itself is dangerous. Look at all the challenges that was uploaded in the Tik Tok video app, it‘s damn scary. Imagine your child getting influenced by the videos they watch on Tik Tok. I seriously cannot imagine if my kid(s) were to get influence by using the app. I wouldn’t even wanna let them download the app and use the app.
After watching this show, I really feel a lot and I agree with the Tech people doing the interview. I really suggest you guys to watch it. Even if you’re not addicted to social media apps like me but you have the habit of using it as a daily routine already. It’s worth to watch. You might be mind blown after watching it.
You might even wanna delete your social media apps after watching it. But I think there’s no need to delete it since you hardly post anything on it. More of like just liking other people’s post and post something once in a while, should be fine. But if you‘re addicted like posting photos everyday and your happiness depends on the likes, I suggest you take a break from your social media account. Don’t use social media at all. Try to keep a safe distance with social media, I know it’s not easy but it’s better to keep seeing your social media and be unhappy. Your happiness is not depends on how many people like your post.
Just go and watch it and you’ll understand what I’m saying, you might probably feel what I felt. It will completely change your mindset.
That’s all for now. Til next time ~
