Netflix Show Review: Dark Desire (Oscuro Deseo) Spanish Show [R21]

Hi guys, I’m back with another post. This time round is to review a show that I’ve finish watching recently. This show is on Netflix and it’s a Mexican TV show. The title is ’Dark Desire’. This show have a lot of plot twist. It’s a intimate, steamy and suspenseful kind of show. Hence the mature rating is R21 as there are a lot of sex scene.

The Genres of this show are mystery & thrillers. It’s quite thrilling. So it’s actually quite hard to just watch 1 episode and continue watching the other episode the next day. This show was the reason why I’ve been sleeping late lately. Currently there‘s only 1 season but I think that there might be a season 2 coming up. The current season 1 have a total of 18 episodes and it was released on 15th July, this year. It’s the most popular non-English series on Netflix. I’m actually quite looking forward for their season 2 though. I wonder what’s gonna happen.

If you wanna watch this show, best is to watch it at home as it’s STEAMY and INTIMATE. You won’t wanna watch it in public and get judged by people or get stomped by people who thinks that you’re watching Pornography due to the sex scenes in the show. The show is quite nice to watch actually. The reason why I got attracted is because of the title and also because it’s a suspenseful kinda show like some criminal series show. But there’s a lot of plot twist that will leave you wondering what the ending will be and it will make you look forward to the next episode because you won’t know what’s happening and all you can do is guess what’s gonna happen in the next episode. You’ll be surprise when you continue watching as the show progress.

The ending itself is quite shocking to me too. I was not prepared for the kind of ending though. But I really gotta say that this show is really very nice. If you’re looking for shows to watch on Netflix, yes, I will definitely recommend this. I’ve never been impressed with a show that has a lot of plot twist and still find it nice to watch. Usually I will feel that it’s very complicated and the more I watch it, the more I don’t get the show and if it’s very long, I will usually stop watching as I find it boring to continue watching but I actually finish watching this show. It’s really very exciting and thrilling.

Now that I’ve finish watching this show, I don’t know what show to watch next. I shall scroll through Netflix and try to find a show to watch. It‘s best to watch this show alone, in your own room or if you wanna watch it together with your family members, you can go ahead but make sure there’s no children around when you’re watching this show as this show is not suitable for them. Don’t worry there is English subtitle as the cast speaks in Spanish. You can hear their original voice unlike MeWatch, you watch Korean show on MeWatch but it’s a voiceover which you can’t even select the audio to it’s original language and it‘s super duper uber irritating to hear the voiceover. Because when the actor speaks, the mouthing is very different from the voiceover, so I ended up not watching the show anymore. I prefer to watch the show in it’s original language with the actors/actress talking in their own voice rather than voice over.

I guess it’s time for me to go look for another show to watch. Well, if you are keen to find out what is this show about and what’s the ending, you can go and watch it yourself. I don’t wanna give spoilers. All I can say is I’m impressed with the script and the way that it’s filmed. I’m looking forward to Season 2. Hopefully it won’t disappoint me.
