Pets are definitely cute. But it isn't easy taking care of them. It's easy to abandon them but you're being irresponsible. The moment you brought/adopted them, the moment you've decided to become their parent is the moment where the responsibility starts.

Adopting them is not easy as you have to make them trust you which takes time and you will need to be patient until they open up to you. Buying them from a pet shop or breeder is definitely easy but it's expensive and it's like you're supporting the pet shop/breeder for what they're doing which I don't think is good. Of course some breeds are special so that's why there's breeder breeding the breed. If it's certified breeder then I guess it's fine. But if the breeder is not certified, I will say it's an abuse to the pet.

What is wrong with common breed? Common breed pet is not pretty/cute? Why does it always have to be the special breed? Aren't they the same? Aren't they pets also? Why does humans get so interested in rare breed? I don't get it, I really don't get it. If it's not special breed, you don't want? If you found out the pet that you've adopted, is not a special breed, you gonna abandon it? How hurtful it is to the pet. You are very irresponsible.

Common breed pet, pets with special needs should also get a chance of having a roof over their heads and not to worry about no food or food getting snatched or being attacked out of nowhere. They all should stand a chance for a loving home as well. I know it's not easy adopting a special need pet but if you can make the time, the effort of caring a special need pet, it will be good. The pet will love you and be grateful to you in unexpected ways.

Bringing them home, caring for them is not just giving them food. It's also giving them the attention they need, playing with them. Loving them doesn't mean just feeding them, buying them food. That alone is not enough. They're not just happy about you feeding them. They will need your attention. When you're playing with them, it will also means that you're making sure that they are healthy or not. It's not just plainly playing with them. By giving attention to them doesn't just mean petting them, that alone is not enough. You will need to communicate with them. They can understand you. People who don't have pets will say 'are you crazy? Why are you talking to your pet(s)? Can they understand what you're talking about?'

They can understand everything you've said. Even when you scold them, they know. Even when you get physical with them like hitting them hard, they know. But please do not hit them too hard. Tell them nicely, make sure they look into your eyes when you're talking to them. They can understand. Talk to them calmly. If your angry level is to the max than I probably recommend you to go somewhere else where you won't see your pet(s) or cage them up. When your anger subside, go and tell them nicely what's the reason for caging them or why did you leave the room. But I will recommend caging them. Unless your pet(s) are huge.

But whatever it is, treat your pet(s) with love & respect. They're just like a baby but in animal form. They're mischievous, playful, annoying but after all, they're just animals. They're cute. Because they're cute, you'll end up forgiving them for whatever they've done. You will also wish that they will live a long life, they're healthy. Nothing beats more than hearing that they are growing up healthy. If you have a child, I believe you will not abandon your child right? Then why abandon the pet(s)? You will dote on your child right? Then dote on your pet(s) as well. Pet(s) can be a good companion to your baby. You can teach your baby how to share with your pet(s), how to feed your pet(s), how to be responsible. Your baby can play with your pet(s) too. Isn't it a good thing?

All animals deserved to be love. Those animals that can be kept as a pet, deserved a forever home. Not just special breed. Common breed as well. Even animals with disabilities deserve to have a home. Best is adopt rather than buy. You can adopt for free or at a minimal fee depending on where you adopt from. Once you've decided to let them be a part of your family, please do not abandon them. They don't live that long. DO NOT ABANDON them for whatever reason, that is just being irresponsible. You promised them a FOREVER but you did not fulfill it. When the moment comes whereby they will need bid farewell to the world forever, can you forgive yourself for abandoning them? Can you forgive yourself for the hurt you've caused them?

I know I cannot. That's why I won't abandon my pets though they can be annoying at times. But they are also a living thing, they have feelings too. Though they cannot talk but they understand. That's why I'd rather spend most of money on them though sometimes I feel like it's not worth it, they are not grateful about it but still, they're just animals. Their cuteness itself is enough. Just by looking at them is enough. Coming home to them after a day of work, is enough to perk me up. Seeing them just make me smile.

If you have pet(s) at home, I hope you take good care of them. If you don't and decided to adopt one, please do not adopt just for the cuteness. It's really not easy taking care of them. You need to be financially stable, patient enough, caring & loving enough. You will need to have enough space for them to roam around at home too. You need to be ready to make sacrifices for them. If you're not ready to make sacrifices then don't adopt.
