Here I am with another post.
I am going to talk about working in Singapore. I've been working ever since I graduated from ITE. So I have about 7 years of experience in being an working adult.
After being working adult for so long, I've come to realized that it's really hard to find a boss that really cares for the employee. By boss, I don't mean the boss that you report to directly, I mean the Boss that is over seeing the whole company. If your direct boss cares about you than that's good. But the thing is that your direct boss cares about you yet the overall boss that own the company isn't caring for them, then what's the point? Don't you agree?
Aren't you tired of working for a company that doesn't care about it's employee? They can say they care but their action tells otherwise. This is the reason why I want to come out and be a boss of my own. Like what I said in my previous post, I know it's not easy. Nothing is ever easy even working as an employee.
If you work in a company where the overall boss really cares about the employee in the company then lucky you. Not everybody have that luck. It's really sickening to see good people leaving the company because of the management. People don't quit their job because of the job scope or position, they quit because of the management.
But people in the management team, the boss themselves, doesn't really see that they are the reason why people leave the company, leaving their position, leaving the job. All they think is that they can find people to replace. But really, how many hardworking people can you find for the company? How many people are willing to sacrifice what these people have been sacrificing for the company? It's like these people wasted their time working in the company yet they gain nothing but being misery. They left the company without a good note.
If they were to share their side of the stories, you think people will wanna join the company? You think they will want their friends to be in a shitty company? I really feel the management should have a change of mindset, they should also change the way how they do things too. Actually it's all the management in Singapore, the bosses in Singapore should really change their mindset as well.
If they really show that they care, they will be able to retain a lot of good employees with the potential to be promoted. The employees can really trust the boss and share whatever they're going through if they're having a hard time. They won't even think about resigning at all.
But I guess it's just damn hard to do it in Singapore ah. Well, at least that's my point of view. You don't really have to agree with whatever I say here. It's just my point of view.
